and Drag Racing industry. We will strive to help inform you of the best products
on the market today as well inform you of products that are defective coming
from the manufacture and suppliers. We are not in any way trying to bash or down
grade any parts, manufacture or suppliers. All we are trying to do is help
inform the general public of defective parts that may be out on the market. All
the information in our forum comes from people who have ran into problems with
parts they have purchased as well as parts they have had problems with. Now on the other side of the coin we are trying to inform people of how good the VW parts have gotten over the last few years. Manufactures, Distributors and Suppliers have done a GREAT job in improving the quality of aftermarket parts coming to the VW market. Reliable VDub is also trying to help inform new members of the VW community make up there own minds on what type of engine, carbs and general setup that would best fit them, in the new investment they are about to make. All information gathered for the tech section will come from quality techs that build cars and engines for race and the street. Back Ground of Troy Goodwin I have been in the VW community for over 30 years going back to when my dad Chuck Goodwin opened a machine shop in Fort Worth Texas building VW motors for other companys in the DFW metroplex. In 1972 dad moved his shop ( Garland Foriegn Cars ) to Garland Texas. He continued to run the shop until he sold the shop to LeeRoy in the late 70's. During these years I worked for dad and Leeroy. In 1979 I went to work for Lyle Ozmon VW in Dallas Texas, from there I have worked at a few other dealers through out the years.
